The hotel

Harbour life, from the inside

Gannet is not a nautical theme; it is part of the harbour. Morning coffee comes with the boatyard soundtrack, the lobby doubles as a small exhibition space, and the kitchen follows what lands nearby rather than a fixed idea of fine dining.

“The harbour is not a view. It is the rhythm of the whole hotel.”

Explore Falmouth

01

Falmouth as a working harbour

Falmouth's character comes from the constant overlap of boats, students, makers and visitors. Gannet faces the working side of the water, where the view includes boatyards and changing activity rather than a polished marina alone. The hotel's daily logbook points towards exhibitions, coastal walks, small venues and local businesses that reveal how the town functions beyond its most familiar waterfront sights.

02

A kitchen connected to the landing

The chalkboard menu changes with what small boats and nearby farms can supply. That may mean a whole fish for two, vegetables cooked over coals or a simpler bowl after a day on the water. Breakfast is bright and informal; dinner becomes more atmospheric without introducing unnecessary ceremony. Vegetarian dishes are developed as complete plates, not replacements decided at the last moment.

03

Balancing water, culture and rest

One day might begin with a swim or sailing session and end at an exhibition in the harbour studio. Another can remain entirely on foot, moving between the coast path, town and hotel. Quay Rooms suit shorter energetic visits, while the Chart Suite offers a separate living area for longer stays. Water activities remain weather-dependent and are confirmed close to the day.
